New Zealand are on course to win one gold and two silver medals at the world blind sailing championships which are scheduled to finish on Lake Rotorua tomorrow.
New Zealand skipper Paulien Eitjes is assured of a gold medal in the B2 fleet, despite missing her first win of the
series today. She was third in race one, a result she is likely to drop after having been unbeaten in every other race - including the second and third races today.
Great Britain are a distant second overall and Japan third.
In the B1 fleet, New Zealand finished ahead of fleet leaders Italy in the first race today but the results were reversed in the second.
Italy appear on track to win overall tomorrow unless luck deserts them.
The most exciting scenes today came in the last B3 fleet race, where New Zealand snuck past a duelling Great Britain and Japan to win at the death.
Great Britain hold onto their lead by a comfortable margin from New Zealand.
