Yachting: Murdoch well placed in Lasers

New Zealand yachtsman Andrew Murdoch is closing in on a medal at the Laser World Championships in Korea.

Racing has resumed after being delayed for a couple of days due to a typhoon.

Murdoch is in fifth place overall, just three points off third after finishing seventh in race six and 33rd in the fifth race.

Third place would be a repeat of his performance at last year's world championships in Brazil.

The regatta has been dominated by Australian Tom Slingsby, who is a clear series leader with four wins from six races.

David Weaver is best placed of the other New Zealanders in 18th overall, with Michael Bullot in 28th.
