New Zealand sailor Andrew Murdoch finished sixth at the Laser world championships which ended in Jeju, Korea, yesterday.
The top-10 placing confirmed Murdoch a position in Yachting New Zealand's Olympic squad for 2007.
Two other New Zealanders claimed top-20 finishes in the 128-boat fleet, with David Weaver 14th and Michael
Bullot 19th.
Murdoch's result capped a solid season for the New Zealand national champion, who recently claimed a bronze medal at the Olympic test event in China.
He also finished in the top five at the Semaine Olympique Francaise regatta in France and at the Holland regatta in the Netherlands this season.
