Yachts in the BT Global Challenge continue to arrive in Wellington at the end of the third leg of the round-the-world race.
The first yachts arrived yesterday evening, after battling into winds gusting up to 100 kmh.
LG Flatron won its second successive leg victory - finishing one hour and 56
minutes ahead of Olympic Group.
Third-placed Compaq arrived in Wellington's Queens Wharf race village over two hours behind LG Flatron, followed by TeamSpirIT in fourth position.
Today, Quadstone crossed the finish line just after midday to take fifth place.
Flatron's winning time of 36 days and 10 hours gives it a comfortable lead over Compaq at the halfway stage of the race.
The remaining boats in the fleet of 12 will arrive in Wellington during the next four days, and will stay until the start of the fourth leg to Sydney on February 18.
