Yachting: Innovation Explorer won't be stopping

Innovation Explorer will not be stopping in Wellington, as it makes its way through Cook Strait for The Race.

The second placed boat is expected to reach the Strait at about 4 o'clock tomorrow morning and is currently about 500 nautical miles behind the Grant Dalton skippered Club Med which is now in the Pacific Ocean.

Innovation Explorer hinted during the week that they would stop in Wellington to make repairs, however it now appears it was a ruse designed to get Club Med to also stop in the Capital.
