Russell Coutts has won the Bermuda Gold Cup yachting regatta despite being hampered by a muscular strain in his chest.
Coutts beat fellow New Zealander Chris Dickson 3-0 to claim the cup, off Bermuda, with a matchracing team comprising several former America's Cup team-mates, including Brad Butterworth, Simon Daubney and Warwick
Fleury.
Coutts qualified for the final after beating another Cup skipper Ed Baird, of the United States, 3-1. Coutts was taken to hospital for a checkup on Friday after complaining of chest pains.
However, cup spokesman John Roberson said the complaint was revealed to be a muscular problem, and not related to the heart.
The Bermuda Gold Cup was the eighth regatta in the Swedish Match Grand Prix series, with the overall title taken by Bertrand Pace.
