Peter Burling has outclassed a number of leading America's Cup sailors to win another title.
The Olympic silver medallist and double world champion in the 49er class won the Moth-class world championships near Melbourne in emphatic fashion, winning nine of the 14 races and not finishing outside the top 10 once.
Burling said it was an incredible run.
"[It's] pretty cool to be honest,"he said. "I've definitely been saying that all week.
"I've always been a bit worried in the back of my mind that these boats are so fragile and so easy to break something."
Peter Burling's sailing partner in the 49er, Blair Tuke, finished the next best of the Kiwis in sixth.
Despite his Moth class success, Burling said the 49er will remain his priority.
"I don't think it'll ever take my full focus, but I always think I'll be a part of it. The 49ers obviously are the Olympic class, but it's a great change to be able to jump in these from time to time and do some really high quality racing."
