The A-League grand final has its work cut out if it's to surpass last week's semi between the Wanderers and Brisbane, when Western Sydney recovered from a 3-0 deficit to eventually triumph 5-4 in extra time. But the showpiece does represent an intriguing match-up, between an Adelaide side who were winless from the season's first eight rounds and a Wanderers team who last season finished one point off bottom. Whoever wins, the A-League is guaranteed to have a first-time champion.
