Westpac Stadium in Wellington is poised to host an international ice hockey game next year.
The USA and Canada are scheduled to play three exhibition matches in New Zealand in June, with the second game outdoors in the capital.
The first will be at Spark Arena in Auckland, with the
finale at Queenstown Ice Arena.
Retired greats and second-tier players are likely to play in the matches, like they did when the USA and Canada last played in New Zealand in 2011.
