DAVIS CUP

Mark Nielsen, GD Jones, Dan King-Turner and Rubin Statham, with Bruce Derlin as the non-playing captain, were named yesterday for the September 23-25 Asia/Oceania group two final against Korea in Auckland.

Statham replaces Adam Thompson from the side who beat Kuwait in July.

The winners will progress to Asia/Oceania group one - the zone New Zealand were demoted from last year.

The Korean team are likely to feature world No 64 Hyung Taik Lee, who lost in the first round of the US Open to Croatian No 22 seed, Mario Ancic, in straight sets.

New Zealand have a seven-win, one-loss record against Korea. The last three clashes have all been 3-2 victories to New Zealand.
