A regular season MLB clash between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers was horrifically interrupted in the second inning on Wednesday.
First year Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon took a line drive to the back of his head, which then deflected all the way to the outfield for a Hernan Perez
single.
Statcast registered that the ball traveled at a speed of 169 km/h off Perez' bat. Taillon fell to the ground grabbing at the back of his head as a result and trainers rushed out to the mound immediately.
However, the hit couldn't keep Taillon out of the game as he played on through six innings.
