The Chicago Cubs have made it to baseball's World Series for the first time since 1945.

A series victory would end a 108 year title drought for the club, the longest in professional sporting history.

Want to see the Cubs potentially make history in person? It'll cost you.

The cheapest tickets available on online ticket marketplace StubHub for game one go for around $800 US dollars (NZ$1100).

Game two is much the same, but then the series heads to Chicago's Wrigley Field.

As the series heats up, ticket prices soar. A standing room ticket to game three will cost you $1,720 US (NZ$2400).

Things really get insane once the series starts gets closer to it's climax.

A seat behind home plate at a potential game five? That'll cost you up to $75,000 (NZ$104,000). Otherwise you can stand for $2,300.

If the series runs its full course and goes to seven games, it will finish on November 2nd.

The All Blacks roll into town a few days after the series finishes and play Ireland at Chicago's Soldier Field.

Want a ticket to that game instead? Tickets range from $75 to $1500.

That's right, you can grab around 25 mates and take them to see the All Blacks before you can stand at game five of the World Series.
