Waka Ama: Waka races at Kohi

The Pacific's top Waka Ama paddlers will make a splash at Kohimarama Beach today when they line up in the annual Air Tahiti Nui Aotearoa Aito Rudderless Va'a races.

The winners men's and women's winners in races over 24km and 12km respectively will have the chance to compete with the world's best in July's Te Aito race in Tahiti where 650 paddlers are expected at the sport's biggest regatta.
