Victoria Beckham angry over David Beckham's friendship with supermodel Helena Christensen

Tensions are rising between David Beckham and his wife Victoria who is reportedly furious over her husband's growing friendship with former supermodel Helena Christensen.

The Sun reported that Victoria has become increasingly wary of Christensen's fascination over her husband after they became friends last year at a party in Miami.

Joined by best mate Dave Gardner, David partied with Christensen at an Adidas and British Fashion Council event. Along with Gardner's model wife Liv Tyler, the group regularly socialise together.

"Victoria is often nervous about David's friendships with female celebrities — there is naturally some jealousy given she'd love to spend more time with him," a Beckham insider said.

"David and Helena hit it off right away and have stayed in contact.

"Bella and David have hung out quite a few times now. But Victoria heard about a late night party in Miami, which annoyed her because she wasn't able to attend."

It's no secret that David and Victoria's marriage has been on the rocks for quite some time, with the former England captain's rumoured fling with Rebecca Loos first setting things off in 2004.

The Sun revealed how Victoria had been uncomfortable with David's female friendships including stars such as Charlize Theron and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Last October, David admitted how life with his wife of 20 years didn't come without its complications.

"When you've been married for the amount of time that we have, it's always hard work," David said in the teaser trailer. "It becomes a little more complicated".

However, a separate source close to the Beckhams said: "There are no issues in their marriage."
