WWE chief Stephanie McMahon has signalled her desire to bring Ronda Rousey into the wrestling world after she retires from UFC.
Rousey is set to fight Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 and said the bout on December 30 would 'definitely' be among her final appearances in the Octagon.
'This isdefinitely one of my last fights,' Rousey told the Ellen show.
'So everyone better watch. The show isn't going to be around forever.'
The 29-year-old will attempt to reclaim the bantamweight title she lost to Holly Holm in November last year but may never step into the Octagon again after her bout with Nunes.
In light of Rousey's statement, WWE Chief Brand Officer McMahon openly spoke of her desire to lure one of UFC's most recognisable fighters into the squared circle.
'God, I certainly hope so. I gotta get her back from when she put me in that armbar.' Mcmahon told TMZ.
'I'm certainly going to try [to sign her], I'll just leave it at that.'
This is not the first time WWE have tried to sign an esteemed UFC fighter. They were keen to have 22-year-old strawweight Paige VanZant appear at SummerSlam last year but failed to strike a deal.
