Kiwi UFC prospect Israel Adesanya will make his debut with the company at UFC 221 in Perth on February 10.
On Friday, it was announced Adesanya would make his debut in the octagon against Australian Rob Wilkinson in a middleweight clash after beginning his mixed martial arts career with 11straight wins. All 11 have come by way of knock out.
Wilkinson signed with the UFC after claiming an 11-0 record of his own, but lost in his UFC debut by second-round knockout.
The event was set to be headlined by New Zealand-born Australian and middleweight champion Robert Whittaker who will face former UFC title holder Luke Rockhold.
Currently in Las Vegas to help City Kickboxing team-mate Dan Hooker prepare for his bout against Marc Diakiese at UFC 219 on Sunday (NZ time), Adesanya joins Hooker, Mark Hunt, Luke Jumeau and Shane Young as the Kiwis on the UFC's books.
