Biggest hint yet UFC star Ronda Rousey is forming a return

A strength and conditioning trainer has provided the biggest hint yet that UFC star Ronda Rousey is about to go back to work.

Rousey's future has been unclear since her devastating loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December.

According to reports, Rousey was considering retiring from Mixed Martial Arts completely.
It emerged on Friday that the former bantamweight champion has started working with nutrition guru Dan Garner.

Garner, who has previously worked with a range of low-profile MMA fighters, announced Rousey has joined his Team Garner squad with a post on Instagram.

"Wanted to give a good welcoming post to Ronda Rousey who has just recently joined the team, and is all set for the comprehensive nutritional programming process with myself," he posted.

"Excited to have her on board and to accomplish some great things with her this year. Let's go!"

It follows a public push from WWE identities declaring Rousey would be a potential force in the wild world of entertainment wrestling.

Stephanie McMahon, daughter of WWE boss Vince McMahon, has said publicly Rousey and the WWE would be a match made in heaven," FOXSports.com reports.

Rousey may be done with fighting, but she certainly remains a hot property outside the UFC

The WWE chief brand officer, who welcomed Rousey to the promotion a few years back for a brief appearance at WrestleMania, would love nothing more than to see the former UFC champion in the ring on a more permanent basis.

Rousey has long expressed her love for the WWE and considering she may have some open time in her schedule as it appears her UFC career may be coming to an end, McMahon believes it's a perfect fit for their roster.

"I would love for Ronda Rousey [to come to WWE]," McMahon told ESPN recently.

"I know that she loves WWE and we certainly love her.

"It would be a match made in heaven. Hopefully, one day we'll have that opportunity."

McMahon's invitation to Rousey comes just days after WWE personality Paul Heyman spoke to FOX Sports about the former UFC women's champion and the prospect that she could be a successful professional wrestler after her fighting career is over.

"I think the WWE audience would embrace Ronda Rousey with open arms," Heyman told the Fight Society podcast this week.

"Just her name recognition alone is huge. It doesn't matter her past two experiences in UFC.

"All that matters is if she got involved in a story that people could relate to and could sink their teeth into and get excited about."

Rousey has largely avoided the spotlight since her UFC 207 loss to Amanda Nunes outside booking a guest spot on the NBC series "Blindspot."

It certainly sounds like she has an opening at WWE if Rousey decides to pursue professional wrestling in the near future.
