Ocean Beach Kiwi kayaking star Scott Bicknell again had a great tussle before prevailing over Mount Maunganui's Sam Shergold in a gruelling 9km ski race, with Waihi-raised marathon kayaker Sam Newlands (Mount) third.
Mount's Katie Wilson also had a successful day, winning the female 9km ski and 6km board races, while Midway's Charlie Scott and Papamoa's Kathryn Stewart won their respective 6km ski divisions.
The last round of the Winter series is on September 16.
