Triathlon: Reed takes sixth

Taranaki-based Shane Reed finished sixth in the second round of the World Cup triathlon series in Mexico yesterday.

Reed, 12th in last week's opening round in Hawaii, was one minute behind the winner, American Hunter Kemper.

Other young New Zealanders finished down the field, with Hamilton's Graham O'Grady 46th, North Harbour's Will Green 48th and Aucklander Sam Walker 54th. Portugal's Vanessa Fernandes won the women's race.
