Triathlon New Zealand will follow protocol when supporting Sophie Corbidge as she nurses health issues.
Ill health has forced Corbidge to withdraw from training and therefore Olympic qualification.
Tri NZ High Performance Manager Graeme Maw says they'll take a status quo approach into having her return to full training and
competition.
Maw says it's no different to an athlete picking up an injury, and they will monitor Corbidge on a daily basis.
Triathlon New Zealand is confident Corbidge will return to her full potential.
