Triathlon: Calwell wins race three

Auckland triathlete Tristan Calwell won the third New Zealand Cup men's race at Rabbit Island near Nelson in 1h 58m 13s.

Tony Dodds of Wanaka was second in 1h 59m 19s. Blair Jordan of Tauranga was third in 1h 59m 29s.

Christchurch's Gina Ferguson won the women's race in 2h 12m 42s.

Kelly Bruce of North Harbour was second in 2h 15m 42s and Dunedin's Sarah Bryant third in 2h 17m 39s.

The next race in the series is in Christchurch on January 13.
