Tony Veitch new mouthpiece of breakfast sport

Television sports journalist and presenter Tony Veitch will fill Martin Devlin's old chair at Radio Sport in the week's third high-profile broadcasting move following Devlin's departure to Radio Pacific.

Veitch, a TVNZ news sports journalist and Game of Two Halves television host, where Devlin is a panellist, will start his breakfast radio slot on The Radio Network's (TRN's) Radio Sport on December 6, TRN general manager of talk programming Bill Francis announced in a statement today.

Veitch described his new role as "a dream come true".

He has worked in television since 1995 in various roles for TVNZ as well as working at TRN.

The radio reshuffle follows this week's move by Paul Holmes away from TVNZ to rivals Prime.
