While serving a four-game suspension from the NFL, one of the most recognisable names and faces of the NFL has been doing a whole lot of nothing with all the spare time he now has.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady told Dayna Evans, of The Cut, in a href="http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/09/tom-brady-spends-his-suspension-napping-and-repping-uggs.html?mid=twitter_nymag" target="_blank">recent interview that he has been grasping onto the opportunity to do something that doesn't come around very often for him during his glittering NFL career: doing nothing.
"I don't get the opportunity to do nothing, like I used to," he told Evans.
"I like to take a little nap here and there. Read a book. Definitely listen to music. Anything that is just chilling a little bit," identifying Coldplay as his favourite musical group.
While some aspects of his day-to-day life has changed since the commencement of his suspension at the start of the new season, one aspect he continues to follow through with whether he is playing or not is the routine of eating healthy.
Does the new, chilled out, do-nothing-all-day-for-the-next-four-weeks Tom Brady stick to his strict health guidelines that has helped contribute to becoming one of the most famed and successful NFL players in history?
"I'm 39 and I get to play football for a living. There are not a lot of people who get that chance.
"Part of that is because of the way that I treat my body.
"There are not many people who get to play for as long as I have, and I want to be able to show the next generation of athletes that if you follow certain routines and you're disciplined in certain areas, then you could get to do this, too.
"Do you need to eat a cheeseburger every day to realise that you love a cheeseburger? Or could you eat it once a week... or once every two weeks... or once a month... or once every two months?"
"I've never eaten a strawberry in my life. I have no desire to do that," Brady states, while also revealing he has never tasted a drop of coffee in his lifetime.
"Absolutely not.
"I don't believe you could be a 39-year-old quarterback in the NFL and eat cheeseburgers every day. I want to be able to do what I love to do for a long time."
