Sailing reporters Paul Lewis and Dana Johannsen answer three burning questions after another dramatic day on the water in the 34th America's Cup.
1. The abandonment of Race 12 must have been all the more frustrating as it appeared Barker had pulled off a start for the ages?
Paul Lewis:
It needed an aggressive play from Dean Barker to win the start with starboard entry in those ebb tide conditions. He did the job and then the rug was swept out from underneath him. Good practice all the same.
Dana Johannsen: Absolutely - his look of disbelief when he realised Oracle Team USA (who realised the race was off before he did) were nowhere to be seen was priceless. He thought he was there, bless him...
2. Did we see signs of nerves from Team NZ on their curious approach to the bottom mark at the end of Race 11?
PL: They did make hard work of seemingly straightforward downwind run home, but Oracle did take an unusual approach in that leg, sprinting straight down the boundary line. Team NZ were still able to cut them off at the pass but only just.
DJ: They were definitely twitchy about Oracle's sprint down the left-hand side of the course but, in the end, they stayed ahead - helped by a poor gybe by Team USA.
3. Just to (hopefully) reassure readers, there's as much chance of Oracle winning eight races in a row as there is of...?
