25 - Alastair Cook's 130 in England's victory over New Zealand during the second cricket test at Leeds this week marked the 25th time the English skipper had passed three figures in test cricket. At only 28 years old, the left-hander is 16th-equal on the all-time list for most test centuries.
32 - At the age of 32, wicketkeeper-batsman Luke Ronchi will make his debut for New Zealand tonight when the Black Caps meet England at Lord's in the first one-day international of their three-match series. Ronchi previously played for Australia in 2008 and 2009 but after serving a four-year stand-down period can play for New Zealand as he was born in Dannevirke.
16 - Kiwi basketball player Steven Adams has been projected to be selected with the 16th pick in this year's NBA draft by magazine Sports Illustrated. Following a middling freshman campaign at the University of Pittsburgh the 2.13m New Zealander declared for the draft. The Boston Celtics own the 16th pick in the draft and SI.com said he would be a good project for the franchise.
26 - In the era of professional netball, statistical analysis has become an important tool and Melbourne Vixens defender Geva Mentor leads the ANZ Championship in intercepts this year with 26. The 28-year-old also has the most deflections with 59.
3 - Marina Erakovic will play in the third round of the French Open for the first time in her career after the Kiwi No 1 beat 16th-seed Dominika Cibulkova overnight. Erakovic beat Cibulkova in three sets 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in their second-round match that lasted two hours and 38 minutes.
1 - The number of games James Franklin and Jacob Oram combined for during the recently-concluded IPL. Both Kiwis were part of the victorious Mumbai Indians squad and Oram was picked once while Franklin couldn't get a look in under former Black Caps coach John Wright.
