Kiwi tennis player Michael Venus and Croatian Mate Pavic won't be defending their doubles title at January's ASB Classic in Auckland.
The duo who have won four titles and played in eight ATP World Tour finals this year are going their separate ways.
Venus says Pavic has made the decision
to team up with Austrian Alexander Peya who's higher ranking will enable him to get into the bigger tournaments.
He says obviously they have had great success and you want to be able to continue that if possible, but they were not getting into the big tournaments together and he can understand Pavic's decision.
Michael Venus is teaming up with Swede Robert Lindstedt who won the Australian Open doubles title in 2014.
