Tennis: Querrey cuts two muscles

American Sam Querrey, a finalist at the Heineken Open in Auckland this year, is back practising for his return to the ATP Tour after he cut two muscles in his right forearm in Thailand when he sat on a glass table that broke.

The world's 25th-ranked player said yesterday he narrowly avoided damaging the nerve in his serving arm, an injury that would have ended his tennis career.
