New Zealand made it two wins from two at the world junior tennis finals in the Czech Republic yesterday by beating Argentina 2-1.
Following their 2-1 upset of the United States on the first day, Sebastian Lavie and Ben McLachlan produced more heroics in the tournament for players aged14 and under.
McLachlan lost 1-6, 3-6 to Federico Coria, younger brother of men's star Guillermo Coria, in the first match but Lavie levelled the tie with a three-set defeat of Agustin Velotti.
The New Zealand pair were successful in the decisive doubles, winning 6-3 6-2.
A victory over Hungary will guarantee the team a spot in the semifinals.
