Venus and Klaasen have hit a purple patch of form, reaching the Wimbledon final, Washington ATP 500 semis and now the Toronto final together in the last few weeks.
They have improved their win loss record to 32 and 16 since forming their partnership at the start of the season.
They will face either the second seeds Finland's Henri Kontinen and Australian John Peers or Croatian Nikola Mektic and Austrian Alexander Peya in the final. It will be another big pay day for Venus who will split $316,000 US with Klaasen for winning the tournament and $154,710 if they lose the final.
Venus and Klaasen and Klaasen are up to 5th in the race to qualify for the season ending ATP World Tour Finals, with the top eight teams at the end of the season featuring at London's O2 Arena in November.
Individually Venus is projected to climb two places to 17 in the world doubles rankings by making the final and if he wins the title, could rise to 13.
Meanwhile the draw is out for next week's Cincinnati Masters with Venus and Klaasen pitted against French singles players Richard Gasquet and Adrian Mannarino in the first round.
Fellow Kiwi Artem Sitak teaming up with Greek singles star Stefanos Tsitsipas have been drawn against Croatian Ivan Dodig and Dutchman Robin Haase.
