New Zealand doubles player Marcus Daniell has had a win over 12 times singles Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic and three times Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka this morning.
Daniell and his Dutch partner Wesley Koolhof have beaten Djokovic and Wawrinka 6-4, 7-6 (2) in 1 hr 13 in thefirst round of the Queen's grass court ATP tournament in London.
The Kiwi number three and Koolhof only got into the main draw as lucky losers from qualifying and made the most of their opportunity
Marius Copil and Ken Skupski were first in line to take the main draw place but Copil had to go back urgently to Romania so Daniell and Koolhof got the chance.
The win over the renowned duo puts Daniell and Koolhof into a quarter final against the fourth seeds Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares.
Meanwhile New Zealand's top ranked doubles player Michael Venus and his South African partner Raven Klaasen have suffered a shock first round defeat the ATP 500 tournament in Halle in Germany.
Resuming their rain interrupted match at 4-5 in the first set, the German wildcard pairing of Tim Puetz and Jan-Lennard Struff duly served out the first set 6-4 and won the second in a tie breaker 7-6 (4)
