Tennis: Jones loses quarters in US Open

Sacha Jones has lost her quarter-final junior singles and doubles matches at the US Open in New York.

In hot conditions Jones, 15, was beaten by 11th seed and world 260th ranked Austrian Tamira Paszek 6-1, 6-2 in the singles and 6-4, 7-5 in the doubles when she teamed with American Lena Litvak against Paszek and another Austrian Melanie Klaffner.

Paszek was a finalist at junior Wimbledon this year and has had WTA wins over top-100 players.
