Tennis: Jones given ASB Classic wildcard

As expected Sacha Jones has been handed the second main draw wildcard for next month's ASB tennis Classic.

The Aucklander joins five times Wimbledon champion Venus Williams as the wildcard recipients.

Jones says it's nice to have it officially confirmed and she's looking forward to playing at home.

Wimbledon doubles champions Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik have decided to defend their ASB Classic title.

The duo were recently named WTA doubles team of the year.
