ASB Classic organisers will welcome back this year's second seed as one of two wildcards for the next edition of the tournament.
Germany's Julia Goerges, a regular attendee of the Auckland tournament has been given one of the spots after slipping to 72nd in the world this year, while the
Czech Republic's Andrea Hlavackova has nabbed the other spot.
Notable results for Goerges this year include reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open, as well as the third rounds of the Indian Wells and Charleston tournaments.
Hlavackova is responsible for getting her compatriot and world number 29 Lucie Safarova to the tournament. Safarova only agreed to play in the Auckland event if organisers awarded Hlavackova, her doubles partner, entry in the main draw.
The pair joins former seven-time grand slam champion Venus Williams, former world number one Ana Ivanovic as well as top seed Roberta Vinci at the tournament.
