There's a reason she has almost two million followers and you don't — and don't expect her to read your reply.

"Social media is a very tough world out there so I think it is important to not get too wrapped up in it," said Bouchard last month. "I love using it to show my fans what I do; I think it adds another dimension to me as a tennis player (and) I get to do all of these other crazy things because of my life. But I do keep a distance in terms of reading what is online and all that stuff because that will literally make you go crazy."

Now if the world number 80 can get back to making grand slam semi-finals and finals like she did in 2014 she may challenge Serena Williams' female tennis-leading 10.7 million-strong Instagram audience.
