Tennis: Erakovic wins second career title

Marina Erakovic has won her second career US$25,000 ($38,000) tennis title with victory over top seed Casey Dell'Acqua of Australia in three sets in Melbourne.

Erakovic, 18, won her first tennis event at this level in the Netherlands last month and was a semifinalist at another in Australia last week, where she lost to Dell'Acqua.

This time Erakovic, the fourth seed, beat the 170th-ranked Australian by taking the first set 6-1, dropped the second 0-6 as her opponent attacked on every shot, then the Kiwi No 1 finished off with a solid 6-4 set.
