New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has crashed out in first round qualifying for the US Open in New York.
The world number 113 has been beaten 7-6,4-6,6-3 by 163rd ranked Chinese player Yafan Wang.
The match lasted exactly three hours.
The result continues Erakovic's struggles in New York,
her least most successful Grand Slam.
The Kiwi has only once made the second round of the main draw in her career at Flushing Meadows.
