Tennis: Erakovic into semis at Mexico

New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic has continued her good form and is through to the semifinals of the US$25,000 Irapuato Challenger tournament in Mexico.

The world No 287 breezed past American third seed Julia Cohen and world No 161 6-2 6-1 today, setting up a semifinals date with Croatia's Ivana Lisjak.

Erakovic beat Frenchwoman Alize Lim 6-2 6-0 in the first round and yesterday ousted former world No 32 Olga Puchkova, of Russia, 6-2 3-6 7-6 (8) in her second round match.
