Tennis: Erakovic close to playing again

New Zealand's top tennis player Marina Erakovic looks set to finally return to tournament play.

Erakovic had to pull out of this month's ASB Classic, with a stress reaction in her arm.

She said she is slowly recovering, and is eyeing up some ITF futures tournaments in Sydney in a few weeks, but is not looking too much further ahead as she will be waiting to see how she comes through with her arm.

Erakovic assured reporters she is fit at the moment, but restricted in her movement tennis-wise, being tied down to the amount of specific racquet work she can do.
