Doubles results keep coming for Kiwis in Europe

New Zealand tennis players Artem Sitak and Marcus Daniell have won their quarter-finals match at the Stuttgart ATP tournament with a straight set 6-2 7-5 victory over Germans Michael Berrer and Jan-Lennard Struff.

They now play the second seeds from Romania Florin Mergea and Horia Tecau for a place in the final and Daniell rates their prospects of continuing in the tournament highly.

"Artem and I have both been playing good tennis, we both love the grass and we're confident on court against anyone. Artem has a winning history here in Stuttgart and we are taking a positive vibe into our semifinal," said Daniell.

Sitak won his first career ATP doubles title at Stuttgart in 2014 with Polish player Mateusz Kowalczyk.

Meanwhile Michael Venus and Mate Pavic will play their final at the s-Hertogenbosch ATP event in the Netherlands against Brit Dominic Inglot and South African Raven Klaasen at around 2am NZ time on Sunday morning.

They are aiming for their fourth title of 2016 after wins at Auckland, Montpellier and Marseille and a runners-up finish at Nice.
