Tennis: Australian Open night finals not on

The Australian Open women's singles final will remain in its daytime slot for the foreseeable future despite the growing trend for night tennis finals.

Two of the open's major lead-up tournaments - the Hopman Cup and Sydney International - will experiment with night finals this summer under moves announced yesterday.
