Swimming's dark side

At least 36 coaches over the past 10 years have been banned by USA Swimming for sexual misconduct with teenagers they supervised, ABC News has reported.

Reports aired on the US broadcasters 20/20 programme and on World News Tonight cited court documents and interviews conducted with swimmers and their families, and concluded the coaches in question "molested, fondled and abused dozens of swimmers."

One coach, Brian Hindson of Kokomo, Indiana, clandestinely taped teenage girls he coached.
