Auckland swimmer Dean Kent broke Danyon Loader's New Zealand record for the 200m individual medley at a World Cup meeting in Sydney on Saturday night.
Kent, aged 19, swam the event in 2m 0.62s to undercut Loader's time of 2m 0.80s and qualify for the world shortcourse championships in Hong Kong
