Swimming: Future of Burmester in doubt

Moss Burmester admits he's seriously considering calling time on his swimming career.

Burmester's opted to miss this weekend's National Short Course Champs in Mount Maunganui after a disappointing showing at last month's Commonwealth Games.

He says in this day and age, it's a real battle.

He says he's lost his funding, so he doesn't have any income, so he might have to give it up for employment.

Burmester says the only thing that's keeping him going is the London Olympics.
