Beijing Olympic finalists Melissa Ingram led a strong effort by New Zealand swimmers as 10 of them advanced to tonight's at the World Cup short course meet in Sydney.
Ingram qualified for two finals, finishing second fastest in heats of her favoured 200m backstroke and third fastest inthe 200m freestyle.
Fellow Olympian Hayley Palmer also made it into two finals, after qualifying fourth fastest in the 50m freestyle and seventh fastest in the 200m freestyle.
John Gatfield impressed to also qualify for two finals, after finishing fourth fastest in heats of the 100m backstroke and third fastest in the 100m individual medley.
Other New Zealanders through included Glenn Snyders, third fastest in the 50m breaststroke, Brett Newall in the 200m butterfly, Natalie Wiegersma in the 200m medley, Matt Woodrow and Michael Jack in the 400m freestyle and Daniel Bell with fellow Olympian Corney Swanepoel in the 50m butterfly.
