New Zealand's Tamsyn Leevey has joined compatriots Carol Owens and Shelly Kitchen in the main draw of the women's world open squash championship in Hong Kong.
Leevey, ranked 40th in the world, scored a comprehensive 9-1 9-6 9-7 victory over 34th ranked Welsh woman Tegwen Malik in the final round of
qualifying last night.
Leevey, of Wellington, has been drawn to face Kitchen in tonight's first round of the 32-strong main draw.
Owens, the world No 1, who has signalled she plans to retire from international competition after this tournament, faces Pakistan qualifier Carla Khan.
She will be looking to make amends after a surprise loss to American Natalie Grainger in the final of the Qatar Classic in Doha.
