New Zealand squash No 1 Shelley Kitchen came up short when losing the final of the Crocodile Challenge Cup tournament in Hong Kong.
The tournament top seed went down 9-3, 0-9, 7-9, 0-9 to Hong Kong's Rebecca Chiu in 37 minutes.
The victory, which avenged a loss to Kitchen in
the 2002 World Open, gave Asian Games champion Chiu her seventh World Tour title.
Kitchen's next event is the Malaysian Open starting on Monday.
Dutchman Dylan Bennett won the men's final title.
