Squash: Carruthers wins second straight title

Australian Simon Carruthers yesterday won his second straight Professional Squash Association tour title in New Zealand.

The third seeded Australian lifted the Royal Oak Open title in Auckland, a week after winning the Auckland Open.

Carruthers was too good for English qualifier Chris Ryder in the final, 11-6 11-3 11-10.

New Zealand's Shelley Kitchen made light work of the women's title decider, beating compatriot Louise Crome 9-1 9-1 9-2.
