The charitable side of Sonny Bill Williams has emerged again.
The All Blacks star is heading to Lebanon to visit children in refugee camps.
There is little detail about Williams' plans, including when he will fly out to the Middle East.
But he was reportedly moved by images of refugeechildren during a virtual tour of a camp. As a result, he now wants to visit the kids in Lebanon.
Williams, a converted Muslim, has been in the public eye for his charitable acts, most notably giving away his World Cup winner's medal to a young fan who had been tackled by a security guard.
The All Blacks have links with several charities including UNICEF and after the World Cup, Williams reportedly told team officials he wanted to go to Lebanon as soon as he could.
UNICEF is believed to be involved in planning the visit with security heightened since the Paris terror attacks.
Speculation is also growing that Williams will return to rugby league in Australia after next year when he is set to play sevens at the Rio Olympics.
He had dinner with Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson and the club's powerbroker Nick Politis last week. Williams played for the Roosters for two seasons before returning to rugby and New Zealand in 2014.
