At the conclusion of the second day at the Sailing World Cup Hyeres, the New Zealand sailing team are in the top two in three events, with a total of nine kiwi crews placing within the top 10.
Peter Burling and Blair Tuke retain their lead in the men's skiff.A win, a sixth placing and a third placing in the day's three races sees them stay ahead of the pack, the Phillips brother of Australia trailing them by three points.
Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie dropped to second in the standings following the events of day two, but are equal for first on net points with Brits Hannah Mills and Saskia Clarke.
Jo Aleh reports, "[It was a] hard day today. We had some glamour starts but just didn't get our first beats right. On a race track which didn't seem to have many passing lanes it was a little painful at times."
