Soccer: Fans fight hooligan ban

Tough restrictions to stop soccer hooligans attending matches breach European Human Rights laws on the freedom of movement, it was claimed at London's Court of Appeal yesterday. Two Derby County supporters, banned by magistrates under the Football (Disorder) Act 2000 from going to matches at home or abroad for two years, have brought a test case challenging the banning orders. The two men claim the orders, which banned them from going into defined areas around pitches where premier league Derby are playing, breach their human rights.
